"Why is it Important to Protect Your Right to Enjoy a Premium Cigar?"

Introduction

I'm sure you've been enjoying premium cigars for a long time. Maybe you're an aficionado, maybe you just like to smoke them every now and then. Either way, it's unfortunate that so many states are trying to change the laws surrounding these delicious treats. Fortunately for us in Ohio, our state legislators have recognized that cigar smokers have rights too! In this blog post I'll explain what makes a premium cigar different from other tobacco products—and why it's important that we protect those differences with preserving the current laws on smoking premiums inside our homes and businesses.

Premium Cigar Law in Ohio

While Ohio law does not treat premium cigars the same as other cigars, it does exempt them from the smoking ban and excludes them from being taxed.

The smoking ban exempts "premium cigars" from its definition of "tobacco products," so you can smoke one inside a cigar bar or your own home without breaking any laws. Also, because premium cigars are not considered tobacco products in Ohio (they're defined by their cost), they're not subject to taxes levied on other kinds of smokes: $1 per pack for cigarettes or $1 per ounce for chewing/pipes mixtures--which means that if you're looking for a place where you can enjoy your favorite stogie without worrying about taxes or smoke bans, now might be an excellent time to visit!

What Is a Premium Cigar?

A premium cigar is made from tobacco that has been aged at least 2 years. It also cannot be made from certain tobaccos, such as flue-cured or fire-cured tobacco. The wrapper must be natural, not synthetic; the binder should come from either a Connecticut shade or Ecuadorian Sumatra seed; and the filler must consist of Dominican Republic Piloto Cubano Ligero and/or Dominican Olor Ligero filler tobaccos (among other things).

Where Can You Smoke a Premium Cigar?

There are many places where you can enjoy a premium cigar. The first place is inside your home, but this is not always the best option because you may not have enough space to smoke your cigar without getting complaints from other people in your household.

The second place you can enjoy a premium cigar is at a cigar bar or store that specializes in cigars and offers seating areas where customers can smoke their cigars while they sip on drinks and talk with other patrons who also enjoy smoking fine tobacco products like you do.

The third place to smoke a premium tobacco product such as cigars is at private clubs that allow memberships for people who want access to exclusive facilities such as golf courses or boating facilities along with being able to smoke fine tobacco products such as premium cigars (among other types of tobacco).

Do I Need to Smoke Outside?

If you're a cigar smoker and have ever stepped outside of your home, you may have noticed that there are places where you can enjoy a premium cigar. These include:

·     Your home

·     A cigar bar (or lounge)

·     A cigar shop (or club)

In other words, there's no need to go outside when you want to smoke a premium stogie. Just light up and puff away inside one of these places!

Smoking premium cigars has been legal in Ohio.

Smoking premium cigars has been legal in Ohio for those 21+ since December 7, 2006. This is because premium cigars are not covered by the smoking ban and are not considered tobacco products.

They are also taxed at a much lower rate than cigarettes, so you don't have to worry about coughing up an extra dollar or two every time you light one up!
